Dymaxion World Map
Designed by Buckminster Fuller, the Dymaxion World Map is the only flat map of the entire surface of the earth. Unlike other projections, such as the Mercator or Peters projections, Fuller's does not distort the relative shapes and sizes of the land areas; nor does it split any continents. The Dymaxion map also offers no "up" or "down", north, south, east or west. ID chose this map for its website in order to honour Buckminster Fuller's original vision, but also as a reflection of its own values.
