Independent Diplomat (ID) has demonstrated the value of an approach that had never been tried before: an outside actor inside the "closed box" of diplomacy. ID aims to promote justice and conflict resolution by enabling governments and political groups disadvantaged or marginalised by lack of diplomatic capacity to engage effectively in diplomatic processes. ID proves clear, practical and effective counsel to those facing complex international and political challenges to help them achieve their international objectives. ID has had a marked impact on the diplomatic performance of even the most marginalised clients.
ID is a non-profit organisation supported by donations from foundations and individual donors, as well as by fees from our clients who have the means. Our work for the least wealthy countries, which are often the most marginalised, only happens thanks to support from our donors.

Charitable Status
ID is registered as a 501(c)(3) in the United States (EIN number 11-3816205). Donations made in the US are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
Independent Diplomat is registered as a charitable organisation in the United Kingdom (charity number 1125699). If you pay UK income tax, you can increase the impact of your donation by completing a gift aid declaration that will allow ID to claim the standard rate income tax from Revenue and Customs that you will have paid. For every £1 donated ID will be able to claim back 28p. If you pay higher rate income tax you will also be able to reclaim for yourself from Revenue and Customs the higher rate tax that you have paid.
