We work to transform diplomatic institutions to be more inclusive as standard practice. This involves creating new channels for marginalized groups to access decision-making processes and establishing precedents for their continued participation. By demonstrating the value of inclusive diplomacy and building institutional frameworks to support it, we help create lasting changes in how diplomacy functions.

We've helped refugee leaders secure formal seats at policy negotiations and achieve mandatory consultation rights. Our new five-year program strengthens refugee diplomacy across Africa and the Middle East.

We provide diplomatic support to female leaders, negotiators, and activists to ensure women influence the full spectrum of issues in peace processes and international policy.

Our unique initiative provides a confidential forum for legitimate non-state voices to address UN Security Council members, contributing to more effective diplomatic practice.

ID has been with us from nearly the beginning of the Southern Transitional Council and our quest for self-determination. When others marginalised the legitimate needs and aspirations of the Southern people, ID worked with us to advise and support our diplomatic engagement, access and impact on the international stage.
Please support Independent Diplomat's efforts to create a more inclusive, equitable, and effective diplomatic system.
